  • 1965

    MicroMetl Corporation is established in Indianapolis, Indiana by the Booher family. MicroMetl was originally named General Sheet Metal. GSM manufactured and installed sheet metal duct systems for the local construction market before venturing into the HVAC accessory business.

  • 1970s

    By the mid 1970s roof curbs and downturn plenums were being manufactured on a relatively small scale for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and regional distributors. The free-cooling concept of economizers was catching on, and HVAC distributors across the country were looking for someone to fill their accessory needs.

    MicroMetl experienced significant growth Innovative energy-efficient products and superior customer service led to MicroMetl being named as one of the Inc. 500 fastest growing small businesses in the U.S.

    1987

    MicroMetl came under new ownership and was purchased by Tom O’Mara

    1992

    In May the company was purchased by our current owners, Gerald E. and Barbara E. Schultz.

  • 1994

    Under new leadership, the company begins to see growth and MicroMetl expands to its second location in Sparks.

  • 1997

    MicroMetl designs and sells their very first ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation).

  • 1998

    MicroMetl Nevada expands and relocates into larger buildings in order to meet the demand of our loyal customers.

  • 2000

    After spending 25+ years on Roosevelt Avenue in Indianapolis, MicroMetl moved its headquarters to a new 190,000 sq. ft. facility on the eastside of Indianapolis. The plant allows for increased productivity manufacturing capacity, engineering test labs, and larger finished good inventory levels.

  • 2005

    MicroMetl Corporation expanded again, this time in Longview Texas to be closer to our customers OEM locations. Our 108,000 sq. ft. facility services primarily OEM customers for factory installed accessories

  • 2008

    MicroMetl in Sparks, NV moves into a larger 149,000 sq. facility.

  • 2015

    MicroMetl celebrates 50 years of successful business strategies and implement IECC codes.

    MicroMetl Launches their newly upgraded website to better meet the customer’s needs.
